TDI Advanced Nitrox

Course Information

The TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver Course is designed for certified nitrox divers who want to deepen their understanding and skills in using enriched air for more complex diving scenarios. This course focuses on dive planning, and gas management, allowing divers to explore deeper and longer with confidence.

Prerequisites: 15 years old, Open Water Diver, 25 dives

Upon completion, divers will be equipped to safely plan and conduct dives using nitrox mixes up to and including 100% O2, enhancing their diving experience with longer bottom times. This course is ideal for divers looking to expand their skills and explore deeper underwater environments. A combination of Advanced Nitrox & Decompression Procedures is recommended in order to qualify you to dive to 45m and use nitrox gasses up to and including 100% O2 for accelerated decompression dives.


Course Highlights

  1. In-depth Theory: Divers learn about the physiological effects of oxygen and nitrogen at depth, including oxygen toxicity and its implications for deeper dives.
  2. Advanced Dive Planning: The course covers how to plan dives using nitrox mixtures up to 100% oxygen, including calculations for maximum operating depth (MOD), best mixes and O2 tracking & management.
  3. Gas Management: Divers gain practical skills in analysing nitrox gas mixtures, understanding their advantages, and managing them effectively during dives.
  4. Safety Protocols: Emphasis is placed on dive safety, including emergency procedures, risk management, and best practices for using enriched air.

Our Dive Centre is located near Leeds, West Yorkshire, just a few minutes from Junction 27 off the M62. All our pool sessions are completed in our private onsite, purpose built heated pool. Our classroom facilities provide everything you need to complete all aspects of your course theory.
